HIS DYING GIFT WAS TO GET JACK LAID
i know i just reblogged this the other day, but i have to reblog again to add…
that’s not entirely it. this episode takes place after Ianto dies. the Doctor knows what Jack has been through and knows what he’s doing now: running away from what happened and trying to drink himself numb. so what the Doctor is trying to do is give Jack company and try to pull him out of that cycle, and maybe try to give him someone else to love. so it’s FAR more than just about getting Jack laid
i keep forgetting how the Torchwood timeline fits into the DW one
this is so unbearably painful wow
Ten is a real bro.
”Now on a personal level, I was so proud of this because, and I didn’t know this. The gentleman who played the other Captain Jack actually said to me afterwards, he said ”you know”, because he was in tears he was crying, and I said are you okay? Have i done something? Did I do a James Marsters? Did I slip you a little tongue? And he went ‘no no’ and he started laughing, and he said ”im actually, im overwhelmed because, i want you to know, what you’re doing as a show, as a character is absolutely wonderful for all of us out here you know watching you, because my brother committed suicide a few years back, because he couldn’t deal with it, and society wouldn’t allow who he was, and he took his own life, and for me to stand here and play a character that represents who my brother was, is an honor for me, but also it means my brothers life wasn’t lived in any sort of vain, or his death wasn’t anything meaningless” and I had no clue, so for me as the actor for that episode, that was one of the most touching moments, but also it made me realize that in every episode from now on, that we’re not only telling stories we’re actually impacting peoples lives with the messages that we can put across. As we do, were making a difference. And that is why the episode ‘Captain Jack Harkness’, is probably one of the most important episodes to me.” - John Barrowman
#Jack totally keeps an eye out on all the Doctor’s companions throughout space and time #Uses Torchwood to keep tabs on everyone #even the ones he didn’t travel with #so he knows exactly when Sarah Jane needs flowers from a secret admirer most #Or where to send an anonymous gift for Donna’s wedding #Gives little Amelia the supplies to make her Raggedy Doctor dolls #He’s practically running a support group for former companions of the Doctor #They just don’t realize it.
i love how ianto just thinks he is going to get a handshake
those tags lolol
Awkward unsure Ianto not being sure of the reception he’s going to get is the most gorgeous thing on this earth.
I just love the way he clutches at Jack when he hugs him. And the way he puts his face in Jack’s neck.
Jack does a lot of that hand-on-neck stuff for a snog. I rather love it. It’s comforting and possessive at the same time.
May the dishwasher of the person who decided not to air Captain Jack’s ass never work.
Look at Ianto’s face. Look at that sly, smug little look. You go, Tea Boy.
Man is it ever weird finding a post with my art in it that I didn’t make.
ends in angry threewaykurtisgonnabitchslapsebastian: draw Captain Jack Harkness (Torchwood) hitting on John and Sherlock getting jealous?
“I don’t even know how this happened”
You have to wonder what the director’s notes were for this moment.
‘Ianto frowns and glances upwards distractedly, as if envisaging and seriously considering aforementioned orgy.’
“No such thing as secrecy, I own secrecy. With Torchwood’s codes, I could blow up the Doctor and all his friends in alphabetical order. In a world of terror, the man with the key to killing the most feared being in all the cosmos is king. And honey, you should see me in a crown.”
